2021 Course Syllabus

  • All appointments must be confirmed via www.ScorchedEarthFirearmsTraining.com.
  • All payments will be required to be made at the time of booking.
  • All Basic Pistol Introduction classes will be held at Gateway Rifle and Pistol Range. The class starts as early as 8 A.M. and as late as 1 P.M. on either Saturday or Sunday of any week.
  • The class is exactly 2-3 hours in length and classes will be held weather permitting.
  • Please bring the firearm you intend to use during the class. If you don't have a firearm, please let me know at the time of booking your appointment. If you don't have a firearm of your own we will provide on that you can utilize for the training course.
  • It is mandatory that you bring a minimum of 50 rounds of full metal jacket brass ammunition for the course ***(ammo caliber is based on the firearm being used)***
  • There will be a brief 20 minute safety video and mandatory safety test before you will be allowed to shoot.
  • I will go over all aspects of shooting to include safety, proper stance, proper sight alignment, proper grip, correct trigger squeeze, shooting while moving, close quarter combat shooting, shooting from cover and concealment and tactical shooting.
  • All classes will be customized based on the students skill level and physical abilities.
  • Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club will require you to sign an injury waiver,
  • The range fee for first shooter is $10 and $20 for each additional shooter. These fees must be paid directly to Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club and is separate from Scorched Earth Firearms Training's fee which is $60 per student.
  • There will be a mandatory rest and water break every 25 minutes for all students.
  • Targets, hear/eye protection and water for all students will be provided.
  • Please bring you valid driver license to the class as the range requires an I.D. check.
  • All class cancellations must be made a minimum of 72 hours before the scheduled class. Failure to do so will result in an additional $15 service charge and if rescheduled the entire fee to include the service must be paid in full before the appointment will be accepted.
